I hear you, my friend. I’ve been there. For years. My kids didn’t start out on the healthiest foods, either. They got all the packaged, processed, easy grab and go foods. And it wasn’t until baby #2 was a year old and food allergies forced us into a whole new way of living. 

Taking it one step at a time when making any kind of change is the best way to make those changes stick. Start with one, conquer it, and then move onto the next. You don’t have to change it all at once.

I’m talking about the part that actually shows what’s in the food when you’re buying a packaged or processed item. Portion size and counting calories are fine if your main goal is to lose weight. But for the overall health of your family, you need to know what’s in your food. You can consume as few or as many calories you want, but the calories don’t tell you how nutritious a food is.
